Dr. Scheland

John A. Scheland, DPM, FACFAS received his Bachelor of Science degree from Marywood University and his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed a three-year podiatric surgical residency in reconstructive and traumatic surgery of the foot and ankle at Community Medical Center in Scranton.

Dr. Scheland practiced in Winchester, Virginia, before relocating back to the Scranton area in 2001. Dr. Scheland employs leading-edge medical and surgical techniques to care for complex foot and ankle disorders.

Dr. Scheland is in private practice at the Comprehensive Foot and Ankle Center maintaining offices in Clarks Summit and Hazleton.

Dr. Scheland is a Fellow of the College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and holds board certifications by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons in Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery. Dr. Scheland has special interests in foot and ankle reconstructive/traumatic surgery, wound closure, and peripheral nerve surgery of the foot and ankle.

Stacey Costello

Stacey is the Office Manager for John Scheland DPM P.C.. She is responsible for the business, clinical, and surgical scheduling of the office. She joined the practice in 2012 as a Clinical Assistant. Furthering her career she has learned all aspects of the practice from the clinical setting, front desk, business, and management of the office. She started in podiatry in 2000 as a medical assistant. Along with her medical knowledge, she also has 9 years of customer service and 4 years as a shift manager. She enjoys spending time with her 2 children, family, and friends.
